Welcome...The “Le Pajare” holiday farm resort is located almost at the centre of the “Two Seas” (Ionian and Adriatic). The town of Tricase is about 15 kilometres away on the Adriatic...

Near the “Le Pajare” holiday farm resort, approx. 3 km south on the Ionian coast road, lies the typical natural fisherman’s marina of Torre Pali (municipality of Salve), with its equipped beaches. At Torre Vado (Salve), about 5-6 km away, there is a small tourist marina, as well as the splendid beaches and sand dunes of the renowned “Pescoluse” area. Going approx. 4 km north we find another fishermen’s marina (Torre San Giovanni – Marina di Ugento) – here also there are kilometres and kilometres of splendid beaches with fine white sand and a sea so crystalline and uncontaminated as to rival those of other localities, even on the international level.

Between Lido Marini and Torre San Giovanni there are some humid areas (saltwater lakes) where various aquatic bird species can be admired. In recent years, colonies of cormorants and flamingos have begun sojourning here for long periods.

In the nearby town of Ugento (6 km away) one can visit the Civic Museum of Archaeology and Palaeontology of the Messapic and Roman period. Just 3 km away there is a flying field for ultralight aeroplanes for tourist use.

The “Le Pajare” holiday farm resort is located almost at the centre of the “Two Seas” (Ionian and Adriatic). The town of Tricase is about 15 kilometres away on the Adriatic. The two seas meet at Santa Maria di Leuca (“de Finibus Terrae”) and merge into a single sea, creating an infinite image that has its roots in the civilization of the Magna Graecia, which gave birth to the people and the culture of Salento.

Just 2 km away are the ancient archaeological remains of the legendary Messapic cities of Vereto and Cassandra, which have enriched the most important museums in the world with valuable archaeological finds from the Messapic era. The inhabitants of the area maintain that the environment and nature here are very particular, unique and incomparable precisely because of the merging of the beneficial influences of the “two seas”, of their winds, and of the sun. Only those who are fortunate enough to live or sojourn here can admire colours, scents, sky, sea, stars, moon, the green of the Mediterranean maquis, of the olive groves and vineyards that offer wonderful moments of true magic.

This magic can also be found in the flavours of the typical products from Salento (often biological), which in this area are produced in abundance throughout the entire year thanks to the gentle and mild climate. The “Le Pajare” farm produces almost all of the biological agricultural products that are consumed on the premises, and that are the foundation of the typical Salento cuisine served here.
